Armart H&H saber - 06-23-2002, 12:30 PM

Another visitor to the cutting session was an Armart hand and a half saber, owned by Will McLaren.

Overall, a very nice piece. One that confirmed what I've said all along, that these are very, very underpriced.

A custom quality sword with good harmonics, historically correct blade geometry, a nice edge geometry, and a great handling balance.

All with the cache of being hand forged.

Day of cutting and my sincere thanks! - 06-23-2002, 08:22 PM

Angus those are very kind words.

I really love my 2 handed Swiss saber that Pavel Neumann and his Armart guys made for me.

I want to thank Angus for also letting Angi and I come down and do some cutting of tatami, pop bottles and plywood. I cutting technique needs lots of practice! Watching Tinker, Angus and Joe do such extensive damage was just wonderful. They all coached me on my cutting and I got a bit better as I went. We took lots of pictures that we will have developed this week and posted soon. I will send pictures via email to Joe, Tinker and Angus so they have copies.

I also got the chance to handle Angus' swords, Tinker's swords and the ones that Joe brought from A&A and Albion, if I remember right. Man, what an opportunity!
