Future Joe Walters Katana Renditions -
08-27-2002, 10:40 PM
Hello everyone,
Just thought I'd take a moment to share some digital images of my upcoming Joe Walters katana. It is a shinogi zukuri blade with a 27" nagasa. Special thanks is in order to Eric Litton. I'd appreicate any opinions you may have. Enjoy!

Fittings, tsuba, kashira, etc., -
08-27-2002, 10:45 PM
Here's a close up of what the fittings will look like. The octagonal tsuba gives it a unique appearance, which enhances the significance of the sword overall. They will be forged of steel and finished with a high polish black.

Kissaki view -
08-27-2002, 10:49 PM
Here's a final image of the kissaki. The saya will also have grooves carved in the first 10", which I think makes a significant difference. The remaining portion will be textured to improve durability. The blade will be done in working polish since it will primarily be a cutting sword. Thanks for looking!

Antonio's Design Services -
08-28-2002, 06:33 PM
Hello again, Everyone,
I'd like to take a moment to elaborate on my experience with Antonio's design services. Anyone who knows him here will agree that he is absulutely great to deal with. His knowledge, relating both to swords and design alike, is phenomenal.. This was a wonderful learning experience for me. Antonio answered all of my questions with pleasure. All of my emails were replied to in a minimal amount of time, sometimes even in minutes.
Antonio also took every one of my ideas into consideration and helped me enhance them for the better. While my knowledge is limited where swords are concerned, he never once made me feel ignorant, but treated me with respect.
I would highly recommend Antonio to anyone who is serious about having a custom, unique sword made. Combined with Eric Litton's brilliant renditions, the outcome of Antonio's skills as a designer is both apparent and astonishing. I believe the images speak for themselves.
Well, I suppose that's all for now. Antonio, you have my utmost respect and appreciation. Thank you again for partaking of your knowledge. I am honored to know you. I hope you know I'm not just saying that. You will have played an intrinsic role in bringing this sword to life, and for that shall be eternally grateful.
Regards,
Win Prue

Hey Win and Eric,
I don't handle these situations that well. There is plenty of exageration in your too kind words.
There is much more of what I don't know than of what I know, so please don't think I have phenomenal knowledge because I don't.
I feel that all I did was just to use an octogon and a grooved saya and go from there. I must say that both were invented,
and the rest was just ellaborating from these two elements.
I best thank you for your more than kind words and get myself outta here

Hello Antonio and Eric,
Well, I believe credit should be given where credit is due, and I think you both deserve it. My thanks go out to you both.
Regards,
Win
