Post your current Collection -
11-08-2007, 05:48 PM
Another title for this thread could be "sword porn"
Post your photos here along with labels of maker and model.
And no one get too excited
My collection:
A+A Henry V
Sam Salvati Langseax "Gullinkambi"
Albion Squireline Clontarf
Del Tin 2070 (customized) "Nothung"
Kris Cutlery Gladius
I might get some more of past pieces I owned, but for now, I was hoping we could keep our current collections posted here.

Increasing like a bell. Names in my ears
Of all the lost adventurers my peers,--
How such a one was strong, and such was bold,
And such was fortunate, yet each of old
Lost, lost! one moment knelled the woe of years.

Gosh, tough to get them all at once, or even individually at times. I have posted pictures of the show and tell tables from time to time. Here are some highlights of the last one in and my only blade purchase this year,
I lose track but I'll try putting something up in the next few days of the entire family.
This is a gentleman's spadroon from the early 19th century. No military motifs whatsoever in the blade decoration.
Modern made, a couple of Gus Trim swords, three A&A, a couple of Windlass, a couple of Hanwei, two Del tins (one an MRL hilt), one Oscar Kolombatovich, one Glen Parrell and a reproduction Confederate sabre (I may be missing one, it depends which direction I count).
Other antiques are another early 19th century spadroon and a yataghan of the same period.
I think that's it for swords, longer blades. Lots more short stuff.
Cheers
Hotspur; spadroons have been two of my last three sword purchases

Oh, nice, I posted some of my Stagmer blades a few weeks ago, I'll have to take some pics of my other stuff... I have way too many... wait... I mean... not enough =)
Here are some of the stagmer blades again:
Set of Lung Quan Daos I made handles for:
5160 bastard sword I made really quickly.
Pirate Cutlass I made a handle for (blade is Lung Quan dao blade)
Two other cutlasses I did
MANY more to come. I have a few nice swords from different makers that we don't come across to often such as a Lutel and a Arms and Armour (European company, not the American one).

I can't resist these threads...
From left to right (top pic):
1. Gendai katana, signed Chounsai Emura Saku
2. Albion Tritonia
3. Albion Regent
4. Albion Talhoffer
5. Arms & Armor Knightly Pole Axe
6. Albion Brescia Spadona
7. Arms & Armor Fechterspiel training blunt
8. Albion Earl
9. Albion Allectus
The scabbard on the left is the Albion historical scabbard for the Tritonia, the one on the right is the scabbard and suspension I made for the Brescia Spadona.
I have a few more swords, but I don't consider those part of my collection....they're placeholders on the wall. These include an MRL steel swept hilt rapier, a couple of MRL-hilted Del Tins and a Dynasty Forge katana.

Michael Edelson,
That is a fantastic collection and I really like the way you have them fanned-out for the photos. Thanks for sharing.
Glen,
I still like that tough old bird of yours. I think it is a military sword, not a civilian sword, but we can make a thread about that in the A&M forum!
Here are my Georgian swords (photos not to scale):
English infantry hanger c.1740-1760
English basket-hilted dragoon sword c.1740-1750
English officer's sword with colichemarde blade c.1760
British officer's hanger c.1790
British Pattern 1796 infantry officer's sword
British Pattern 1796 light cavalry officer's sword
British variant Pattern 1796 light cavalry officer's sword c.1820
British Pattern 1796 heavy cavalry officer's sword
British Pattern 1803 infantry officer's sword

Nice collections, guys! David, you've got too few...
I'll put in my own pics later today; gotta process some of them first. Meanwhile, beautiful blades everyone!
So here they are! All two of 'em...
The left is my first sword ever so it's more of affection I keep it. The right one is Hanwei PPK old version with fake leather ito.
I have no idea who made this blade or its hilt. It's Czeck (sp?) anyway and even though it's a rough blade it has served me well. More of a SLO though...
I'm trying to save up my money for a real sword but since there are too many to choose from, I haven't been able to decide what I want. Guess I'll have to wait.

David, the question is, with your collection, will you get to stop taking photos!

Got to do it any how
I am going to have the "First Annual 'I am out of wall space' sale". Gads I have like 90. some are good, some are very good, some are SLO that in any one else's collection would be trash they would trough out or give to a thrift shop. Those are my sentimental swords though

By using image tags like this: [img]url of image[/img]. It requires that the image be hosted on another site like photobucket or imageshack.

I don't have any group shots, only pictures of the individual pieces. Also, some are still in the works.
1. Is a blade that Rick Barrett forged and reworked to fit this refinnished Armour Class Basket.
2. My katana also forged by Rick from his own Orishigane. This is one thats still in the works. I chip away at it a little bit at a time as money allows ( Ricks been a real good sport about it to ).
3. Is my Odin Blade Leaf Greatsword I named Crebain. The blade as well as the fittings are all forged from Jerry Rados Damascus.
I also have a few bare blades also forged by Rick Barrett, as well as two Albions ( next gen Crecy and Baron ). I'll see ifI can get some pictures of these as well.

Not quite "sword porn" -
11-09-2007, 09:28 AM
Here's a photo of some of my sharpies, most of them Atrims. From top to bottom: AT1211 (Type X), AT2103 (bastard leafblade), Paul Chen Banshee, AT "Little Tigress" katana, Paul Chen PPK, AT1513 (riding sword), AT1526 ("Lady Ash"), AT1571 (bastard saber).
Nothing overly fancy, just some good sturdy blades.

"Impossible" is a word that humans use far too often.

Here is my tiny collection. I've sold most of my old collection, and am starting over, focussing on Japanese weapons and European Bronze age swords.
Here is my Adam Coleman Tanto
Adam Coleman tanto and Bugei Shobu Zukuri Tanto
Dave Chapman Bronze Age Sword from the Bronze Age Foundry
I'm planning on getting a tanto and katana made by Anthony Dicristofano tanto eventually, and also some bronzes from Neil Burridge.

Don't judge -
11-09-2007, 02:53 PM
The brown shirasaya contains a Cheness 9260 TH wakizashi blade, the red shirasaya contains that cheap 1045 carbon steel Musashi blade, the one in the white saya is my Masahiro Fudo-Myoo (SO much better than the other Fudo's out there today), There are a few SLO's, one being that reverse blade sword with the chrome "tsuba", the only one in good condition. Then theres a crappy ninja sword, whats left of a Wall Hanger Kill Bill sword (I turned it into my "rapier" by tying a sock to the tang) Then whats left of a wallhanger Last Samurai sword (No tsuka or anything, slammed it apart, SO MUCH EPOXY). Also, there are 2 bokken, a scythe, 2 switchblades and a switchblade comb, a folder, there is a sharp stainless steel axe, there are also 2 nihonto, both in bad condition (One is a wakizashi with light rust, the other just a nakago with about 6 inches of blade. The wakizashi has its own thread in the NihonTo forums.) Also, do you remember those "double swords" you see on ebay, with the 2 swords in one stick thing? Well, that weird looking double edge blade is both of the blades taped together, with a sock as a handle.
